Back in 2006, when I was in my Bachelor’s 3rd year, I remember seeing a rectangular board and a pen in my cousin’s hand while he was working on a computer. Curious, I asked him what it was.
“It’s like a mouse,” he said.
That answer didn’t excite me much back then.
I didn’t know that a decade later, that same “board and pen” would define a major part of my journey.
The Beginning of YalaMart
Years later, YalaMart was born with a vision—to bring innovative, meaningful technology to Nepal. As we explored global products, we started receiving demand for drawing tablets from brands like Wacom, XP-Pen, and Huion.
At that time, these products weren’t easily available in Nepal. We imported them from the USA just to fulfill customer needs.
The Turning Point
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, digital education exploded. Teachers, students, and institutions across Nepal started using graphic tablets daily.
But YalaMart wasn’t reacting—we were already prepared.
Research That Built Trust
Before the trend, we had already studied:
