WHY EVERYTHING SEEMS EXPENSIVE @ YALAMART ?

The current price of Honda Dio in Nepal is approx 1,89,000/- while in India its price is only around 85,000/- Nepali Rupees. It simply means that lots of cost is incurred when we import these two wheeler from India not limited to Custom, VAT etc. In the similar fashion, when we import products from International Shopping sites, like Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, Apple, Google etc, we have to pay a lot of extra charges which are mentioned as follows.
1. Domestic Shipping: Generally, the domestic shipping and handling is free. But there might be certain charges in some cases.
2. Sales tax: Depending upon the product, Certain Items are subjected to Sales Tax. (But Not always)
3. International Shipping Charge: As per rule by default, this charge is based on actual weight or dimensional weight whichever is higher. For Example, if your item has less actual weight but high volume, importing such product might be expensive.
4. Custom Charge: Nepal government has certain tariff rates for this. For example, Computer and Computer parts has 0%, Camera and parts has 5%, Shoes and Clothes has 20%, toys 5% etc.
5. VAT: All items are subjected to 13% VAT.
6. Bank Charge: As we have to pay in foreign currency via legal ways to the international shopping sites we take bank assistance. And different banks has different service charge.
7. Service charge: Many of us must be aware that the most hectic part of import is clearing the custom which is done via authorized agent at TIA.
8. Home Delivery: Home Delivery is done On Demand with Nominal Charges.
In this way, even a small product reaches at your hand safely passing through all these hassles and charges. Hence we believe everybody got the idea that converting amazon or ebay buy price in Nepali rupees won’t work.

FaceBook Entrepreneur VS Real Entrepreneur

Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine. -Jack Ma
If we use this quote in context of Nepal, day after tomorrow has been lengthened by so called facebook entrepreneurs who neither do official registration nor have any physical address for the customers if they have any queries or complains.
Among many facebook entrepreneurs, some are as follows.
1. Who are running pages as pilot projects for business before official registration.
2. Who have no plan of official registration and are happy for whatever business they are doing.
3. Who are real entrepreneur and are using facebook and other social media pages as their business development tool only.
4. Who are fake and will definitely disappear once they will collect significant money from innocent customers.

There is one popular facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/e4nepal which has nearly one lakh members.and the major admins of this page are central committee member of Bibekshil Nepali Party. The party which has reputation of accountability, transparency, and rule of law. In that page, If one member ask for product from foreign international website like amazon or Ebay, You can see lots of answers from different members to help that member via different pages. I am quite sure many of them are not officially registered. and of Course many of them are being run against rule of law.
Isn't it the accountability of the admin not to encourage fake entrepreneur or encourage real entrepreneur or complain Government of Nepal to discourage which are running against rule of law?

Healthy Competition is definitely good but you cannot compete with one who challenge you with facebook or similar social media page,Officially not registered and have less operating cost than real entrepreneurs.

You might get products comparatively cheaper if you buy via this facebook pages but eventually it is harmful for the country and its prosperity. It is the duty of general public too to discourage the fake entrepreneurs and complain about them if they encounter one.

Among Many reasons, this fake facebook entrepreneur issue is one of the strong point, I believe is the reason for less credibility of e commerce business in Nepal. We all are waiting for the day when the government of Nepal will take strict action and the organization which have been established to empower entrepreneurs will raise voice about these issue firmly.

Real Entrepreneur May seem Facebook Entrepreneur too but All Facebook Entrepreneur are not Real Entrepreneur. So I request all the real entrepreneur  to come together via this platform to speak about this issue and make day after tomorrow sunshine as Jack Ma Said.
